River Wye catch report's (10/11)

Finally off the mark with 6 last night, all these fish came between 9pm and 11pm, I fished on till midnight but didn't have another touch.

well in mate. i fished roughly the same times and had 1 chub and pulled out of another fish.

Hi Guys, Had a cracking day on the wye 2 weekends ago. Finished with 10 Barbel to 8lb 12oz and a couple of chub.

well done mate. im suffering this year. just a few barbel but quite alot of chub. might start chub fishing and catch the odd barbel lol. it dosent help that the fact that ive got a job and can only fish on the weekends, last season i was fishing twice a day nearly everyday

Hi all
Had a trip up to the Wye today with the Wife.
Called in to the Wye Valley Hotel on the way up for a Sunday roast and very good too.
Then had a few hour fishing on the Wye.
The first proper bite and a Barbel on only for the hook snap on me never had this before with this make of hook gutted.
Recasted and half an hour later another good rap round and after a great fight the first barbel of the day at 8lbs plus was in the net.



Same fish as above just looks bigger on the mat.


Had 2 nice chub around the 3lb mark and the another Barbel just over 7lb pack up a happy man.

Called in a Tintern Abbey on the way back for a ice cream.
A very enjoyable day out.

Crackin barb m8...the wyes certainly producing for ye !!!!!!

the wye certainly seems to picking up in some of the quieter spots. my mate fished about 4 hours on a spur of the moment fishing trip and had 5 barbel from 4.5 to about 8lb. i cant wait to get up there and have a go myself.
