The shot of my rod wasn't actually from the walk around Keynsham... I cant cast that far to the river :o

Fishing was Saturday nearer Bath and no it was a blank - I gave up after an hour or so due to the levels rising and probably getting cut off... I was desperate to get out after 2 weeks of Christmas and flu! ;)

I managed to find the river today but not any barbel. I arrived at about 1pm and stayed till 4. It rose about 10 inches whilst I was there and started coming over the banks in places.

Does anybody know what the river is like around Limply Stoke or Avoncliffe? Hoping to get out for a few hours on Sunday.

Hi all. Had a good look at the river this weekend. I think its still up a bit, but with a good pace. Water clarity , clearing. Can't see down that far. No cows at avonclif at the moment, grass was very long. A real hike was needed. :D
