Think I will give the river a miss this weekend from a fishing perspective, but will go for a walk with the camera, love a river in full flood.

yes will do rat, but looking at the pics at malmesbury today it wont top out downstream til tomorrow and keynsham, by tuesday, although the frome dropped three feet today, if not more, i drove to bath this am and the river frome was up to the road by stowford farm! good job no one camping!! and flowing hard through the car park, however when we came back at 3pm river back within its banks, so went down quick.
drove along a36 and river avon was swamping the playing fields at limpley stoke, cars going through by haydens but creating bow waves as they went thru the water, really impressive stuff warleigh looked amazing too!

thanks for info.

i got a work colleague who lives in chippenham, he gonna take a look in town centre and give me a shout too.

not been out since start of oct and i am desperate to go!!

plus i remember a couple of seasons ago going out to find the river only just within its banks and the fishing was excellent. element of luck i suppose too but nothing like chucking out a huge bit of meat and then feeling it bump around on the bottom waiting for a fish to nail it!!!
