hi jedd, normal levels, maybe a bit on the lower side of normal, not too much flow, slight bit of colour, loads of chub about, but head to the glides and you should be fine. pick your swim carefully, very very slow in some 'fields'

hi all,
fished bath sunday and freshford today, very low and clear, could clearly see every square inch of freshford through poloroids and some good chub preoccupied with naturals, caught 6.9 bream lots of silver fish on stick float, tons of fry about the most ive seen in long time, no sign of barbel ( not that freshford in low conditions is a good bet anyway). praying for some rain anyone know a good dance?
on another point some guys were fishing freshford last night and lighting fires and cutting up a barbed wire fence to cook on, the ashes were warm when i arrived at 630am thats the only reason i assume last night.
aint lighting fires against amalgamtion rules?
dont want to sound like a dick but rubbish left behind as well.i live in knowle in bristol which at best is majority shit hole (jeremy kyle standard) i pay to go places like freshford to escape the rubbish, etc etc,
you know what wouldnt it be great if all us ba anglers got together got a game plan, raised some money, donated some time, and turn a fair few miles of the avon into a private fully kept fishery (hampshire avon royalty style) you know where the stock levels are protected, access is fully controlled, predators are kept in check, again with the etc etc, im happy to give up sundays and tuesdays to the cause if in a few years i could fish a rubbish disrespect free water, anyway tight lines guys.

hi, river very low dispite the rain.no flow, wheres the abstraction this year??
paul y, i take your point with the rubbish it makes me cross too, but as for keeping predators in check, it would be illegal as they all seem to be protected in some way or another and we'd get into trouble, but nice thought.

River up a few inches, but not coloured with loads of duck/pondweed being washed downstream.
Cheers

Fished below Chippenham yesterday and they kept opening the flood gates at the weir every couple of hours. Made fishing very very difficult, but a LOT of water was let through.
