River Eels

Hi All
Anyone had any Eels for there local river this season.
I have had Three from the Bristol Avon but all around the 2lb mark and One in mid day on a hot summers day on pellet.

only a couple of bootlaces this season on pellet, last season i had one of 3.5lbs caught on a huge lump of pepperami from the lower, that is the biggest i've ever caught on the avon, in fact it's the biggest eel i've ever had, didn't half scrap as well, went back alive and well, at least they behave a bit better on the bank rather than the little snottys...

Had this one on the Warwickshire Avon last week in the heat of the day on a 14mm halibut pellet,gave a good scrap too.

Have had two of a similar size this summer on the BA. Think I had 3 last year. They all tend to be around 2.5 to 3lbs and seem very keen on pellets.

I have had two so far this season the HA on pellets. One approx 1lb and the other was quite chunky approx 3lb.
