Formula 1

Postby ididcatchonce » Sun Jun 13, 2010 9:44 pm

Hi all,

Another British one two with Lewis Hamilton beating Jenson Button to win the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal and taking top spot in the Formula 1 championship to boot :D

Hamilton's back to back win takes him from third to first place with a total of 109 points. Button retaining second spot with 106 pushing Webber back to third on 103.

A wonderful race to watch with some great wheel to wheel moments only marred by Schmucker's  disgraceful driving.

Great result for the drivers and the McLaren team......lets hope this continues and we may see these two still fighting for top spot come the end. Too close to call for who gets it in my opinion............

Regards Martin

Best GP of the season so far. One of the best seasons of all time IMO - at least five drivers are in with a shout of winning the championship. Makes up for the football anyway...

Hi all,

Another double podium at Velencia for McLaren. Sebastian Vettel in first with Lewis Hamilton second and Jenson Button third keeping the British drivers at the top :D Mark Webber sure is one lucky chap after hitting Heikki Kovalainen at the end of the back straight :o  The footage from the in-car camera is just incredible. Just goes to show how far car safety has come. Silverstone next, would be great to see these two in first and second....

Hi all,

Well I suppose two podiums on the home circuit was too much to ask, particularly as Button started well down the field, but boy did he make up some ground. Shame to just miss out on the podium. Good to see Webber driving well after the last outings mishap, but not as good to see him in front of Hamilton. Still the British drivers are still up there, can't win 'em all I suppose ;)

Silverstone was the best GP I've watched for a long time, big shout went up when Vettel 'left the track'. H'es rubbish for a number one driver  . Made it even better when it turned out Hamilton punctures his tyre !

Hi all,

A controversial victory for Fernando Alonso at Hockenheim as the Ferrari team scored their second one-two with Felipe Massa obviously handing him first place. Sebastian Vettel’s pole-position Red Bull in third place.

Lewis Hamilton still leading the championship with his fourth place at 157 points ahead of McLaren team mate Jenson Button, with 143 points in fifth. So the British pair still up there :D

Mark Webber and Sebastion Vettel are now joint third with 136 points.

Budapest next. Lets hope they both get back on the podium.

Methinks Ferrari are in for a hefty fine for blatant rule breaking.......After all, the team were going to get a first and second anyway :!: ......Boy, did Massa look peed off or what??

Hi all,

No finish for Hamilton and Button in eight............oops :!: Back to second and fourth with Webber now in top spot and Vettel in third.

Shumucker has been given a P10 starting position penalty for the next round in Belgium for the clash with Barrichello in the closing laps.

Oh well.......and is was all looking so good...............

Absolutely disgraceful and arrogant piece of dangerous driving from this F1 has-been  ........But for the fact that Barrichello ran out of wall, there could have been a very serious accident.....Then, to top it all, he blamed Barrichello for overtaking on the wrong side, even though the comentators had seen him check his mirrors and he knew he was there. P10 is no punishment for this offence......I doubt he would even make P10 in his next qualifying session.....Should have been P20.....out of harms way :!: :!:
The results so far, indicate and guarantee an exciting run-up to the end of the season.....Who's your money on :?: :D

Hi again

Have just checked the F1 website and it would appear that Shoemakers penalty is a 10 place one.....I would assume from this that even if he say, qualified for P10, he would be demoted to P20....RESULT :D
