It was a really good fish, so finally netting it (which was difficult enough with the hook in the tail), weighing and getting a photo because it was big. It went 11-08 (which would have been my PB Barbel and PB Bristol Avon fish). .

I know how you must feel. Some years back I had a fish on the Dorset Stour hooked in the pec that was well over my PB which I did not even put on the scales or take a picture of.

Still at least you had the consolation of another double and PB Bristol Avon fish to ease the pain a bit

Thanks Martin. When I first saw it, I thought it looked much bigger than that - I guessed nearer 12-8. Great to see two big fish stuffed to the gills and in cracking condition.

The 10-2 was a lovely fish as well.

Sound's like you had a great day's fishing with two double's and some fun and game's with the one hooked in the tail did very well to land it Great Angling.

Thank's for all the replie's to my fish aswell lad's.

Let hope the mild weather keep's up till the end of the season so we can all have some good sport before the close season on the river's.

after seeing the what the weather was going to be like, and a trip with some mates being cancelled, i decided to make the most of it and get out all weekend! after being out yesterday for one missed chub bite, decided to try further upstream today. luckily my good omen (aka chris) could get some hours in today too, and not long after he turnt up, the rod went round for another PB....



13lb 05oz and another great condition fish!

well done on the guys that caught this weekend, just hope the mild weather stays for these last couple weeks!

He's at it again, two fish i've seen him catch and two pb's at that! Not sure how my lucky doesn't stick with me

Top going tho, a beauty and no better ways to finish a season-well deserved from a top chap!
