Nice one mike what a super fish wish I could have been there with you for that. After all the blanks back in the summer to get a new PB at this late stage of the season is a real boost for all of the effort you have put in. Pete
Minesadouble The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.
cracking fish mike.try that swim again, if its the one im thinking of, there may be another one of that size-ish around there too! (often a brace in there.) well done regards Paul
Hi all, Had another evening session tonight and lost a clonker of a fish. It started with the tinniest of bite which I hit, the fish then made off towards under water feature, not very fast but with solid purpose. It made there but after some time I managed to coax it out and just as I got it to the surface under the rod tip it kicked its tail and the hook pulled. I couldn't believe it, I didn't see the hole fish but the tail was huge. I'm gutted.
Out briefly today and managed a couple of decent chub - unfortunately no barbel (and damn that wind was cold!!!) Good luck to anyone out for the rest of the week...
...of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy.

Did manage two lovely chub so pleased at that.
Went out today for another three hour session at Avoncliffe, water a lovely colour but not even a touch between me and Phil. Off to the Wye next week so fingers crossed, would be nice to have a couple before the end of the season.
