Lake Carp

"The Carp is the queen of rivers; a stately, a good, and a very subtil fish; that was not at first bred, nor hath been long in England, but is now naturalised."

Cheers Nigel..
i forgot my camera but a young lad was on hand and he took it on his mobile phone and sent it to me later.
actually caught on a fox floodwater barbel rod, it handled it very comfortably although it did bend a fair bit more than with a barbel on it :D

Soon followed by a ten pounder and even the old man had a few. :)
Pic's to be added later.

I had a couple of hours surface fishing on one of my local lakes this evening & managed 6 fish, biggest about 12lb. It was nice to be out & have a bend in the rod, they don't half go well.
Good luck to anyone else out this bankholiday.
Cheers
James
